Aymeric de Tapol

Aymeric de Tapol has an extensive work history in the legal field, particularly in the areas of structured financing and complex operational agreements in the maritime and aviation industries. Aymeric started their career as an Intern in the corporate law department of Nove 7 Avocats in 2003, where they gained exposure to corporate and labor law. From there, they worked as an Intern in the corporate law department of August & Debouzy, assisting with M&A transactions and conducting research on corporate law issues. In 2006, Aymeric joined EDF Trading as an Electricity Scheduler, responsible for dispatching electricity and reporting data on intraday trading and scheduling. Aymeric then moved on to Ince & Co in 2008, first as a Trainee Lawyer and then as a Lawyer, focusing on asset purchase and financing in the shipping and aviation sectors. At Ince & Co, they also worked on corporate transactions such as M&A deals and joint ventures in the shipping industry. In 2013, Aymeric became a Partner/Associate at Cobalt Partner, specializing in the acquisition and financing of maritime and aviation assets, as well as practicing in corporate and real estate law. Aymeric returned to Ince & Co in 2014, initially as a Senior Associate and later as a Partner. During this time, their practice continued to focus on structured financings and complex agreements in the maritime and aviation markets, with a particular emphasis on drafting and negotiating various contracts. Aymeric then joined Stream in 2019 as a Partner, where they continued their work in structured financings and operational agreements in the maritime and aviation sectors, under both English and French law. In addition to their expertise in the shipping industry, they also gained experience in emerging markets, particularly in the LNG sector and LNG bunkering sector. In their latest role, Aymeric co-founded Izicredit in 2022.

Aymeric de Tapol completed their Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in Corporate and business law at Université Panthéon Assas (Paris II) from 2002 to 2005. Aymeric pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in English law from the same university from 2005 to 2006. Aymeric then attended UCL from 2006 to 2007, where they earned their LLM in Corporate and competition law. In 2007 to 2008, they studied European business law and received a Master 2 degree from Université Panthéon Assas (Paris II). Finally, from 2009 to 2010, Aymeric completed their education at Ecole de Formation des Barreaux de la Cour d'Appel de Paris (EFB) and obtained their CAPA (LPC), which focused on French court procedures and pleadings - Deontology.
