Willie van Zyl has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several years. Willie is currently the Group Chief Executive Officer at Izwe Africa Group, where they are responsible for strategy development and implementation, transformative and operational leadership, governance, group performance, and managerial and supervisory oversight.

Prior to their current role, Willie served as an Executive Director at Real Pay, where they were accountable for the expansion of the Real Pay brand and footprint across Africa, business and organizational development, acquisition and sales, diversification, client value management, change and projects, and strategic partnerships.

Before joining Real Pay, Willie held various positions at Absa Group. Willie served as the Chief Enablement Officer, Chief Separation Officer & Head of Group Change, Group Change Lead for Planning & Design, Head of Card Issuing, Head of Card Acquiring and Commercial Payments, Managing Executive of Group Payments, Chief Operating Officer for Absa Africa, Head of Retail Africa, Provincial General Manager for Absa Retail Banking, Regional Sales Manager, and Management Accountant.

Throughout their career, Willie demonstrated expertise in financial services, operations management, strategic leadership, business development, and card and payment solutions.

Willie van Zyl completed a Master of Business Leadership (MBL) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika from 2000 to 2002. Willie also obtained a Bachelor of Commerce - BCom (Hons) degree in Strategic Management from the University of the Free State in 1996-1997. Prior to that, they received a B. Com Law degree in Managerial sciences and Law from the University of the Free State from 1992 to 1995.
