Alexandra Yates

Alexandra Yates is an experienced professional currently serving as a European Patent Attorney at J A Kemp since October 2020, following a position as a Trainee Patent Attorney. Previously, Alexandra worked as a Surgery Associate in Laser Vision Correction at Optical Express and completed a Medical Elective Placement in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Cape Town, where valuable surgical skills were developed. Academic achievements include a Postgraduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary University of London and an MBChB in Medicine from The University of Sheffield, alongside a BSc in Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Materials from Queen Mary University of London. During the BSc program, Alexandra conducted research in tissue engineering and electronics laboratories, demonstrating a strong foundation in technical skills and scientific inquiry.
