Alice Lévesque has diverse work experience in the field of marine ecosystems and research. Alice'smost recent role was as a Staff Research Associate III at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, where they focused on investigating virus-host dynamics and interactions in marine ecosystems, specifically viruses infecting Cylindrotheca, a group of diatoms. Alice also participated in major research cruises in the California Current System. Prior to this, Alice worked as a Research Associate II at the J. Craig Venter Institute, where they conducted similar research. Alice also has experience at Université Laval, where they worked as a Professionnelle de Recherche, an Auxiliaire d'enseignement, and completed their MSc in a research role. Additionally, they gained practical experience as a Stagiaire at both the Groupe de Recherche en Écologie Buccale and Héma-Québec.

Alice then continued their education at Université Laval, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, specializing in General Microbiology, from 2012 to 2015.
