Julie Langelier

Associate Director Of Communications at Gladstone Institutes

Julie Langelier has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Beginning in 2003, they worked as a freelance communications consultant, translator, graphic designer, and illustrator. In 2007, they became a Communications Officer at the National Gallery of Canada, where they implemented strategic plans and utilized new media for communication purposes. Julie then joined the Organization for the Protection of Children's Rights as a Communications Manager, handling media relations and producing bilingual content. Julie later became a Communications Coordinator at IRCM Foundation, and despite budget cuts, they maintained and improved communications activities. From 2017, Julie has been associated with Gladstone Institutes, starting as a Science Writer and PR Specialist, and subsequently, serving as an Assistant Director of Communications and now as the Associate Director of Communications. In this role, they write compelling content, develops media relations strategies, and builds relationships with the media. Overall, Julie has demonstrated their expertise in communications, media relations, and content creation throughout their career.

Julie Langelier completed their undergraduate studies in Communications (public relations) at UQAM | Université du Québec à Montréal from 2014 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Diploma of Collegial Studies in Public relations from Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology from 2005 to 2007. Julie also pursued independent studies in Marketing and languages at Concordia University from 2003 to 2005 and completed a Diploma of Collegial Studies in Illustration and design from Dawson College from 2000 to 2003.
