Warner Greene

Director, Gladstone Center For HIV Cure Research at Gladstone Institutes

Warner Greene has a diverse work experience spanning several prestigious institutions and organizations. Warner started their career at Massachusetts General Hospital, where they completed an internship and later became a resident. Warner then worked at the National Cancer Institute as an Investigator before joining Duke University as a Professor of Medicine and an Investigator for the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. In 1992, Warner Greene started working at the University of California, San Francisco as a Professor of Medicine, Microbiology, and Immunology. At the same time, they joined the Gladstone Institutes, where they held various roles, including Director of the Gladstone Institute of Virology and Immunology and currently serves as the Director of the Gladstone Center for HIV Cure Research. In 1994, they became the Co-Director of the UCSF-GIVI Center for AIDS Research. Additionally, Warner Greene has been involved in global health initiatives, serving as the Executive Chairman and President of the Accordia Global Health Foundation.

Warner Greene obtained an MD and PhD from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where they participated in the Medical Scientist Training Program from 1971 to 1977. Prior to that, they earned a BA from Stanford University in 1971.
