Bret Van Roden

Bret van Roden is an experienced leader and entrepreneur with a diverse background in business management and maritime operations. As President of J & J Haimes, LLC since September 2018, Bret has successfully enhanced customer service and lead generation. Previously, as President of Broken Compass LLC from November 2013 to January 2020, Bret oversaw the manufacturing of fishing lures, including the design of "The Clatter Shad." Prior experience includes serving as Yacht Captain for Serenity Now, managing charter operations in the Caribbean and New England, and as Chief Operating Officer at Wellspring, where Bret handled manufacturing and international sourcing. Earlier, Bret sailed around the world as Captain of S/V Broken Compass and worked as an Investment Analyst at RVK, Inc. Educationally, Bret holds a degree from James Madison University.
