Ellie Maclin has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2004 with a position as a Crew Chief at Warren Wilson College. In 2004, they also began working as an Archaeologist/Technical Consultant at the University of Georgia, and as a Graduate Assistant at the Georgia Archaeological Site File. In 2009, they took a position as a Field Technician/Crew Chief at Panamerican Consultants, Inc. In 2010, they became the Owner/Operator of Alpha-Zed Consulting, providing freelance marketing and writing services. In 2014, they began working as a GIS Consultant/Technical Writer/Lab Researcher at Rhodes College and as an Entrepreneurial Intern at the FedEx Institute of Technology. In 2015, they joined Allworld Project Management as a GIS Applications Analyst. Finally, in 2017, they began working as a Business Systems Analyst and Programmer Analyst at Jackson Energy Authority.
Ellie Maclin has a comprehensive educational background. Ellie obtained a B.A. in Anthropology/Archaeology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2002. Ellie then pursued a Ph.D. Program in Anthropology/Archaeology at the University of Georgia from 2004 to 2009, and received a Master of Sciences in Archaeological Resource Management from the same institution in 2009. In 2013, they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Business from the University of Memphis, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems from the same institution. Ellie also attended EM Strasbourg Business School in 2014 for a Summer Business Institute in International MBA. Additionally, Maclin has obtained several certifications, including an Entry Certificate in Business Analysis from IIBA in 2020, an ArcGIS Desktop Associate 10.3 from Esri in 2016, a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in 2020, an OnBase Certified Workflow Administrator from Hyland in 2019, an OnBase Certified Systems Administrator from Hyland in 2018, and an Executive Certificate in Project Management (Accredited PMP Prep) from eCornell.
