Claudia MacIas

Claudia Macias is an experienced policy professional currently serving as Subdirectora at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) since July 2013, focusing on promoting evidence-based policies and providing technical assistance to policymakers. Claudia holds a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University and previously held positions including Senior Analyst at Fundacion IDEA, Director for Planning at the Secretariat of Social Development, and Summer Intern at Janaagraha Centre for Citizenship and Democracy. Claudia's expertise includes policy analysis, subsidy program evaluation, and strategic planning, supported by a foundation in economics from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.
