Nour Shammout

Nour Shammout is currently serving as the Associate Director for the Alliance for Data, Evaluation, and Policy Training at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) since February 2024. Previously, Nour held the position of Senior Economist at Strategy& from September 2021 to December 2023 and worked as the Deputy Director of the Economic Directorate at The Royal Hashemite Court from July 2019 to July 2021. Nour's career at J-PAL began in 2015, where roles included Senior Policy Manager, Policy Manager, and Senior Policy Associate until 2019. Additional experience encompasses consultancy work on impact evaluation at The Queen Rania Foundation and various roles at The World Bank and the International Labour Organization, focusing on tracer study methodologies and policy development frameworks. Nour's academic background includes a Master of Public Policy and a Master of Urban Planning from the University of Michigan, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering from Boston University.
