Gertjan Haarsma has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Gertjan started their career in 1990 with the Koninklijke Landmacht, serving in military service for one year. From 1992 to 2003, they worked in various positions in sales and management for different employers.

In 2003, Gertjan joined Coulisse B.V. as the Commercial Director, where they played a crucial role in increasing turnover through innovative solutions and product upgrades. The company received the FD Gazellen award twice for being the fastest-growing company in the Netherlands under their leadership. Gertjan also implemented crisis management strategies that led to growth and raised margins by 40%.

In 2007, Gertjan took on the role of General Manager at Bernard Reyn Interieurstoffen B.V., where they managed a team of nine employees, and at Dekortex Europe B.V., where they served as the Executive Director. In their role at Dekortex, they achieved a 20% turnover growth during an economic crisis by optimizing organizational processes and logistics, as well as streamlining operations to achieve a 25% cost reduction.

In 2011, Gertjan became the General Manager and Vice President at J.QUEEN NEW YORK. Their tenure in this role is ongoing.

Gertjan Haarsma's education history begins with their time at NSG Groenewoud from 1979 to 1983, where they pursued General Secondary Education.
