M.D. Ahsan Sabbir

Md Ahsan Sabbir, PhD, PE, currently serves as a Professional Engineer and Project Engineer at J.S. Held LLC, focusing on structural health assessments and analysis of residential and commercial buildings since June 2020. Prior experience includes a role as Staff Engineer at Twenty First Century Engineering, where structural assessments and evaluations of hurricane damage were conducted from June 2018 to June 2020. Additionally, a postdoctoral associate position at Florida International University involved corrosion monitoring and non-destructive evaluation from July 2017 to June 2018. Earlier, as a Graduate Research Assistant at Florida International University from August 2012 to April 2017, structural analysis and design of concrete and steel components were performed. Md Ahsan Sabbir holds a PhD in Civil Engineering (Structure) from Florida International University, along with an MSc in Structural Engineering and a BSc in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
