Tom Burns

Tom Burns is a seasoned professional in the field of intelligence and research, currently serving as Managing Director at J.S. Held LLC since August 2022. In this role, Tom leads the US Business Intelligence practice, specializing in non-traditional pre-investment due diligence, litigation support, market entry analysis, and threat assessments. Prior to this position, Tom held various leadership roles at Control Risks, including US Practice Lead, Intelligence & Research, and contributed significantly to the firm’s operations in Southeast Asia and India. Tom's educational background includes a BA in History from Trinity College Dublin and further studies at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, along with additional education at UCLA.
