Zhidong Chen

Zhidong Chen has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Zhidong started their career as a Scientist at Medichem Research Inc in 1996 before moving to Amgen as a Research Associate in 1998. In 2001, they joined Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals as a Scientist, where they played a key role in small molecule design and synthesis for immunology and cardio-metabolic diseases. During their time at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, they also contributed to various projects, including the FLAP project for cardiovascular indications. Zhidong continued to excel in their role, mentoring and supervising junior scientists in the group. In 2017, Zhidong Chen became a Principal Scientist at J-STAR Research, Inc., a member of the Porton Company.

Zhidong Chen earned a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago, where they studied from 1991 to 1993. Following this, they pursued a second Master's degree in Organic Chemistry at the same university from 1993 to 1995.
