Rabbi Alana Suskin

Rabbi Alana Suskin is a seasoned professional in Jewish education and advocacy, currently serving as the Associate Regional Director for J Street in the Mountain West since August 2023. Previously, Rabbi Suskin was the Co-Director of the Pomegranate Initiative from August 2019 to September 2023, where efforts were focused on combating anti-Semitism and Islamophobia through education and relationship building. Serving as the Director of Strategic Communications for Americans for Peace Now from December 2011 to February 2019, Rabbi Suskin managed digital media and developed programs to engage rabbis and the broader community on issues related to Israel. Other notable roles include Director of Lifelong Learning at Shaare Torah Congregation and Rabbi at Adas Israel in Washington, DC. Rabbi Suskin's formative experiences include organizing for economic justice with Clergy and Laity United for Economic Justice and serving as a Rabbinic Intern at Congregation Kol Ami. Rabbi Suskin holds a Toreh Toreh degree in Rabbinic Studies from Yeshivat Maharat, a Master of Rabbinic Studies from American Jewish University, and a Master of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Maryland.
