Brenton Heron

Brenton Heron is a Senior Design Engineer at Mackley since May 2022, with extensive experience in coastal engineering. Previous roles include Head of Coastal Engineering at the City of Cape Town, where responsibilities included managing projects aimed at enhancing coastal protection and urban aesthetics. At Mott MacDonald, Brenton served as Coastal Project Manager for critical projects involving nuclear power plant infrastructure and small craft harbours in the Western Cape. Additionally, Brenton contributed as an Owners Engineer for a wind farm construction project, performed site engineering for the London Gateway Container Terminal, and worked on significant local projects such as the Khayelitsha District Hospital. Brenton holds a Master's degree in Coastal/Port Engineering from Stellenbosch University and a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Cape Town.
