Susan Pennington

Susan Pennington has extensive work experience in various roles related to business intelligence, data analytics, and e-commerce.

Susan'smost recent role is Vice President of Business Intelligence and Technology at Jacent, starting in 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Business Intelligence at Jacent from 2021 to 2023.

Susan also has experience at Hallmark Cards, where they served as the Manager of Data Analytics and BI COE from 2019 to 2021. At Red Fuse Communications, they worked as a Senior Analyst in 2019, focusing on eCommerce and digital sales.

From 2016 to 2019, they worked at VF Jeanswear as an eCommerce Analyst for Lee Jeans. Additionally, they had a role as Chief Analyst at Pithy Consulting in 2016.

Susan's earlier experience includes working at Sprint in various roles such as Ecommerce Analyst, PPMO and Architectural Roadmap Manager, Standards and Best Practices Program Manager, Web Standards Program Manager, and Manager of Digital Lounge Content Updates from 2006 to 2015.

Susan started their career as a Web Developer at COMSYS in 2006 and as a Senior Technical Writer at RADinfo SYSTEMS from 2005 to 2006. Previously, they worked as a Research Fellow at the Smithsonian Institution from 1999 to 2005.

Susan Pennington earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Archaeology, Medieval Studies, and Computer Science from Southern Methodist University in the years 1986 to 2000. Susan then pursued a Master's degree in Ancient Studies and Medieval Archaeology at the University of Minnesota from 1990 to 1993. Susan furthered their education at the University of Minnesota with a Doctoral Program in Interdisciplinary Archaeology Studies from 1993 to 1998. Susan also possesses additional certifications in Data Science and Analytics, including a Verified Certificate for Enabling Technologies for Data Science and Analytics: The Internet of Things, a Verified Certificate for Statistical Thinking for Data Science and Analytics, and a Verified Certificate for Introduction to R for Data Science, all obtained from edX in the year 2016.
