Mylynh Nguyen

Dean, Scholar Support at Jack Kent Cooke

Mylynh Nguyen (she/her) is an educational adviser at the Foundation, providing academic advising and support to Cooke College Scholars and Cooke Transfer Scholars.

Before joining the Foundation, Mylynh worked at Northern Virginia Community College where she was an academic advisor, College Success Skills course instructor, and co-chair of the campus Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. Prior to her role at NOVA, Mylynh served as program director of Asian American Leadership, Empowerment, and Development (AALEAD), assistant director of the Center for Multicultural Equity & Access at Georgetown University, and coordinator of TRIO Upward Bound at Hagerstown Community College, where she also taught biology courses.

Mylynh received her B.S. in physiology and neurobiology from the University of Maryland and her M.A. in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University. She also has completed graduate coursework in biomedical sciences at Hood College, nonprofit management at Georgetown University, and college advising at Columbia University.
