Carys Bevan is an experienced professional with a background in educational coordination and administrative support. Currently serving as an Executive Assistant at the Jack Petchey Foundation since November 2022, Carys previously held key roles at Shakespeare's Globe from May 2019 to November 2022, including Senior Coordinator for Learning. Carys coordinated educational activities aimed at schools, teachers, and families during this time. Prior experience includes serving as an Ambassador for the Centre of Widening Participation, Equality & Social Inclusion at Aberystwyth University, where coordination of careers programs for socioeconomically disadvantaged young people was a focus. Carys also worked as a Hospitality Assistant at Aberystwyth Arts Centre and as a Pharmacy Procurement Assistant for Barnet and Chase Farm NHS Hospitals, where responsibility included the purchasing of pharmaceuticals. Carys earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in English Literature, Drama & Theatre Studies from Aberystwyth University in 2019 and completed GCSEs and A Levels at St Michael’s Catholic Grammar School.

Jack Petchey Foundation
Established in 1999, the Jack Petchey Foundation makes grants to programmes and projects that benefit young people aged 11-25. The Foundation exists to raise the aspirations of young people, to help them take advantage of opportunities and play a full part in society. The geographical focus of our work is London and Essex. Since it has been established we have awarded grants totalling over £124 million.
