Katy Maclure

Katy Maclure has worked in a variety of roles since 2008. Her first job was as a Customer Services Advisor at The Co-operative Group in 2008. Katy then worked as an English Language Assistant at the British Council in 2010, followed by two stints as a Visitor Services Advisor at VisitScotland in 2010 and 2012. In 2011, they were an Intern at Idiomas247. From 2014 to 2021, they held a variety of roles including Sales Coordinator at Trespass, Trainee Localization/Translation and Localization Project Coordinator at Goodgame Studios, and Freelance Translator at Katy Maclure Translation. Most recently, they have been a Content Writer & Editor of The Detour and Deal & Content Writer at Jack's Flight Club since 2021.

Katy Maclure began their educational journey in 2001 when they attended Aberdeen Grammar School, where they studied Foreign Languages and Literatures, General. In 2007, they graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A. Hons) in German and Spanish. In 2012, they completed their MSc Translation Studies and Professional Practice at the University of Glasgow, also in German and Spanish.
