April Sorrow

April Sorrow has extensive experience in communication and public relations, currently serving as Vice President of Communication at Jackson EMC since September 2014, where responsibilities include directing PR efforts and customer communications. Prior roles at Jackson EMC included Director of PR & Communication and editor of Jemco News. Previous experience includes serving as a Research Writer at the University of Georgia from April 2008 to September 2014, contributing to various media programs, and as Public Relations Coordinator at Mainstreet News from December 2003 to April 2008, where April was the Photo Editor and Sports Editor, covering local sports and community events. April Sorrow holds a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Communication from Purdue University and a Master of Public Administration from UGA, along with degrees in Public Relations/Communications and Education from UGA and Young Harris College, respectively.
