Connie Barrera

Connie Barrera is an experienced professional in information security and compliance, currently serving as the Corporate Director and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Jackson Health System since February 2014. Barrera also holds the position of Director of Information Assurance and CISO at the University of Miami, where involvement includes executive leadership in information security and compliance since 2007. Previously, Barrera worked as a Security Manager at Baptist Health South Florida from 2001 to 2007 and as an IT Lead Auditor at Miami Dade College from 2000 to 2001. Barrera's educational background includes a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Health Care Administration from the University of Miami and a degree from Florida International University.
