Jeff Carlson

Jeff Carlson has extensive experience in the field of IT infrastructure and systems administration. Jeff started their career as a Technical Support at Conning and Co. in 1999. Later, they joined Swiss Re as a Systems Engineer, where they managed SAN and NAS storage systems and performed data center maintenance. In 2009, Jeff moved to Conning Asset Management as a Senior Systems Engineer, where they designed and managed core data center technologies and worked on major projects such as domain migration and disaster recovery planning. Currently, Jeff works at The Jackson Laboratory as the Team Lead for Cloud and Systems Services. Jeff has experience as an IT Architect, responsible for cloud systems, and as a Systems Administrator, maintaining remote data centers.

Jeff Carlson completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Connecticut, where they studied from 1994 to 1999. Additionally, they acquired various certifications, including being a Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate and a Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate from Microsoft, obtained in 2023 and 2020 respectively. Jeff also holds a Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from the same institution in 2020. Furthermore, Jeff obtained a VMware Certified Professional 5 - Data Center Virtualization certification from VMware in 2014.
