Lon Cardon

Lon Cardon, Ph.D., currently serves as President and CEO of The Jackson Laboratory, overseeing its global vision and operations across various international locations. Prior to this role, Lon held the position of Chief Scientific Officer at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. and spent nearly a decade at GSK in various senior leadership roles, including SVP of Target Sciences and Quantitative Sciences. Lon's academic background includes significant positions at the University of Washington and the University of Oxford, where contributions were made in biostatistics and bioinformatics. Lon obtained a Ph.D. in Behavior Genetics from the University of Colorado Boulder and has completed postdoctoral work in mathematics at Stanford University.
