The Jackson Laboratory
Mallory Ryan is an experienced research professional with a strong background in cellular engineering and clinical laboratory technology. Currently serving as the Research Lab Manager at The Jackson Laboratory since December 2013, Mallory has worked on precisely engineering disease-specific alleles in induced pluripotent stem cells using CRISPR techniques and has contributed to protocol development and optimization. Additionally, Mallory temporarily supervised clinical virology efforts for COVID-19 testing, managing the validation of test systems and training staff. Previous roles include Clinical Cytogenetics Technologist and Clinical Laboratory Technologist, with credentials developed at Transgenomic and the University of Vermont, where a Master's in Biology was earned. Extensive teaching experience includes leading laboratory sections and study sessions for undergraduate courses.
