Byron Thompson

Byron Thompson is an experienced professional in information security, currently serving as Assistant Vice President of Information Security at Jackson since November 2007. In various leadership roles, including Director of Security Control & Oversight and Director of the Office of the COO, Byron has focused on reducing risk and ensuring control compliance across multiple operational areas. Prior to Jackson, Byron held significant roles at Prudential plc as AVP of the Group Information Security Office and at State Farm as a Team Lead managing security for a vast number of Windows servers and workstations. Byron began a career in insurance as an Agent and Technical Analyst, showcasing a breadth of expertise in both security and business operations. Byron holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Calvin University.
