Erik Johnson has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Volunteer at Knoxville Outpatient Clinic from October 2007 to March 2008. Erik then pursued their education at Tennessee Technological University, where they worked as a Student Assistant from August 2009 to May 2013, supported by a University Academic Scholarship. During this time, they also took on the role of Lead Developer of APES at TTU TIKI from May 2012 to May 2013.

After completing their studies, Erik joined the American Red Cross as a TTU Student Developer for their Red Cross Story Share App from August 2012 to May 2013. Erik then embarked on their career in software development at Jackson, starting as an IT Intern in May 2013 and transitioning into the role of Software Developer I from August 2013 to March 2015. Erik progressed to the position of Software Developer II from March 2015 to February 2018 before being promoted to Sr. Software Designer from March 2018 to October 2021. Currently, Erik holds the role of Lead Software Designer at Jackson, starting in October 2021.

Erik Johnson obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from Tennessee Technological University between 2009 and 2013. In addition, they obtained certifications from Microsoft, including Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, in the year 2022.
