Stacey Schabel

Stacey Schabel, CPA, CIA has extensive work experience in the field of audit and internal audit. Stacey started their career as an Audit In-Charge at Plante Moran in July 2001 and worked there until November 2005. After that, they joined Jackson Financial Inc. as an Internal Auditor and gradually progressed to the role of Director, Solvency II, Director, New Business, AVP & Head of Internal Audit, and finally VP & Chief Audit Executive. Stacey served in this position from January 2015 to March 2020. Following that, they became the SVP & Chief Audit Executive at Jackson Financial Inc. in March 2020 and continued in this role even after the company became an independent public company in September 2021. Additionally, they also worked as the North American Internal Audit Director at Prudential plc from January 2013 to September 2021.

Stacey Schabel, CPA, CIA obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Management Information Systems from Central Michigan University, where they attended from 1998 to 2001. Prior to that, they pursued studies in Accounting at Elmira College from 1996 to 1997. In terms of certifications, Stacey earned the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) credential from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in 2018, and became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 2004 through the Michigan State Board of Accountancy.
