Case Manager at JACKSON PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT

Katisha Bragg has over 17 years of work experience in the education field. Since 2019, they have been working as a Case Manager at Jackson Public Schools, where they provide support and guidance to Exceptional Educators in middle schools. Their main goal is to ensure compliance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and to ensure that all students are receiving a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) and beneficial educational services.

Prior to their current role, Katisha worked as a Certified, Licensed, and Highly Qualified Exceptional Education Teacher at Jackson Public Schools since 2002. Additionally, from 2002 to 2005, they served as a Self-Contained Teacher for the SLD Population. In this role, they taught all academic subjects to a small number of students with intensive support needs, providing them with a highly structured and comprehensive education.

Katisha Bragg earned a Master's degree in Special Education and Teaching from Walden University. Katisha attended Walden University from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Special Education and Teaching from The University of Southern Mississippi, where they studied from 1995 to 2002.
