Margaret Purnell

Margaret Purnell has a strong background in finance and accounting. Margaret most recently worked at Jackson Public Schools as the Executive Director of Finance, overseeing various departments including accounting, accounts payable, and payroll. In this role, they were responsible for the audit process and the management of the general ledger. Prior to that, they were an Accounting Coordinator at the same company, supervising six positions and handling tasks such as cash management, reconciliations, and journal entries. Earlier in their career, Margaret served as the Assistant Vice President of Fiscal Affairs at Tougaloo College, where they supervised the Accounting Department and worked with the general ledger. Margaret held this position for a significant period of time.

Margaret Purnell obtained their Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Mississippi Valley State University, completing their education between the years 1981 and 1985.
