Brian Brodrick

Brian Brodrick has extensive experience in both public service and corporate leadership. Currently serving as the Mayor of Watkinsville since July 2021, Brian was appointed acting mayor in March 2021 and won re-election in November 2021, running unopposed in November 2023. Under Brian's leadership, Watkinsville received the distinguished "All America City" Award in June 2024, marking a significant achievement as the smallest city to win the accolade in over a decade and the only Georgia city honored that year. Additionally, Brian has been a Partner and Board Member at Jackson Spalding since November 1997, where responsibilities include managing major accounts and overseeing the Athens office. Brian began a career in journalism as a Reporter for the Rome News Tribune from 1995 to 1997. Educationally, Brian holds degrees from Berry College and The University of Georgia.
