Cheryl Stroy has a diverse work experience in the media industry. Cheryl is currently serving as the Assistant News Director at Jackson's 16 WAPT, a position they have held since August 2023. Prior to this, Cheryl worked as an Executive Producer at WVTM-TV from January 2020 to August 2023. Cheryl also served as an Adjunct Instructor at Miles College from August 2022 to July 2023. Cheryl has held other executive producer roles at WNCT-TV from October 2017 to December 2019 and at WBRZ-TV from June 2006 to September 2017. Cheryl started their career as an Associate Producer at KSLA News 12, where they worked from September 2003 to May 2006.
Cheryl Stroy obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications with a specialization in Broadcast Journalism from Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College at Baton Rouge in 2001. Cheryl further pursued their education at the same institution and earned a Master of Arts degree in Mass Communications between 2001 and 2003. Cheryl also completed the Hearst Leadership Development Program from Harvard Business Publishing Corporate Learning in September 2022.
