Director Coronary Interventions And Heart Failure at First Coast Cardiovascular Institute

Sumant Lamba is the Director of Coronary Interventions and Heart Failure at First Coast Cardiovascular Institute since March 2006, with a special interest in Protected PCI and Implantable hemodynamic monitoring in advanced heart failure. Previous experience includes serving as Director of the Coronary Care Unit at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center from July 2002 to February 2006, and as an Assistant Professor of Medicine focused on Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation at the University of Kentucky from July 2000 to June 2002. Earlier in academic roles, Sumant Lamba was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Wright State University, where responsibilities included directing Vogel Health Center and training medical students and residents. Educational credentials include a Fellowship in Cardiology from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, cardiology and internal medicine fellowships, and an MBBS degree from Armed Forces Medical College.
