Veronica Zayas

Veronica Zayas has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Veronica is currently working as a Senior Human Resources Generalist at the Jacksonville Transportation Authority, a position they have held since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Human Resources Generalist at Jacksonville University from September 2021 to June 2023.

Before joining Jacksonville University, Veronica was an FC Associate at the Amazon Fulfillment Center from November 2021 to April 2023. Veronica also served as an HR Generalist at Edward Waters College, where they handled various HR tasks such as onboarding, terminations, recruitment, and training. Veronica held this position from February 2019 to September 2021.

Veronica's earlier work experience includes roles such as Leave Specialist at Fanatics with Randstand Staffing, HR Administrator at Miniat Holdings LLC, and Human Resources Manager at CR Coatings & Logistics. Veronica also worked as an HR Representative at Nuestro Queso, LLC and as an HR Generalist at Elite Staffing Inc.

Prior to their roles in HR, Veronica worked at Norwegian American Hospital as an OB Tech-Employee Health Services Coordinator and Medical Assistant from July 1996 to June 2006.

Veronica Zayas completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration from Golden Gate University from 2019 to 2022. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from Robert Morris University between 2005 and 2009. Veronica also obtained a BA in Management from Robert Morris University-Chicago during the same period. In 1993, Veronica attended Chicago City Wide Colleges, where they studied to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Analysis from Jacksonville University starting in 2022.
