Denise Treco is an experienced marketing and communications professional with a diverse background in various leadership roles across multiple industries. Currently serving as the Director of Marketing and Communications at the Jacob Burns Film Center since August 2004, Denise oversees marketing, public relations, outreach, membership, and online efforts. Previous positions include Director of Marketing at The Vitamin Shoppe, Director of Corporate Communications at Vitaminshoppe.com, and Director of Public Relations for The Wiz at Cablevision. Denise has also held the role of Senior Manager of Communications at Scholastic, where tactical public relations campaigns were developed for various divisions. Early career experience includes serving as the Executive Director of Corporate Communications at Big Entertainment and involvement in production management at MTV Networks/Nickelodeon. Denise Treco earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies from Iona University in 1988.

The Jacob Burns Film Center (JBFC) is a nonprofit arts and education hub located on a three-building campus in the New York Metro area. The JBFC brings the transformative power of film to the surrounding community through unique programming and discussion, shared experiences, and educational initiatives. Since opening in 2001, over 3,000,000 people have enjoyed the best of current American and foreign cinema, unique film series, and special events at the five screen theater complex. A pioneer in visual literacy education, the Jacob Burns Film Center offers courses in filmmaking, screenwriting, and animation for students of all ages at our state-of-the-art Media Arts Lab, and develops curriculums for public schools throughout the region.
