Gerrit de Vries

Gerrit de Vries has extensive work experience in engineering and project management. Gerrit started their career in 1984 as an Engineer at Adviesbureau Hoogeveen and worked there until 1991. From 1991 to 2000, they were the Director and Owner of GDV Engineering, where they mainly worked on large projects for clients such as Douwe Egberts and Friesland Frico Domo. In 2000, they joined JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS and held various roles, including Senior Engineer/Project Lead for Product & Process Engineering, Senior Engineer/Consultant for the Expert Team, and currently serves as Project Lead/Senior Engineer for CAPEX - Central Engineering. In their roles, they have been involved in project management, providing technical support, starting up innovation projects, securing critical technical knowledge, coaching engineers and contractors, and ensuring compliance with regulations and directives.

Gerrit de Vries attended Hanzehogeschool Groningen / Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen from 1987 to 1992, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business economics & logistics. Prior to that, from 1979 to 1984, they attended MTS-EL Sneek and MTS-ELEC Sneek, specializing in Electrotechnical and Electronics respectively.
