Adrian Romero

Adrian Romero is a Water/Wastewater Engineer at Jacobs since September 2017, leading and supporting various planning and design tasks for wastewater treatment and resource recovery projects, leveraging advanced engineering analysis techniques to develop solutions and present results to clients. Prior to this role, Adrian served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at The George Washington University, collaborating with DC Water and Sewer Authority on research to enhance bio-gas production in anaerobic digestion. Experience as a Research Intern at DC Water involved studying odor emissions and VOC monitoring, while work as a Research Assistant at the University of Maryland focused on water quality evaluation methodologies. Adrian's earlier career included project engineering at ITESM Campus Monterrey, developing tools for assessing water quality and infrastructure impacts, and as a Lab Analyst at ALS Environmental, coordinating water sampling campaigns. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Maryland, an MSc in Environmental Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, and a BSc in Chemistry from Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León.
