Karl Bowles

Karl Bowles is currently a Senior Principal Environmental Scientist at Jacobs, focusing on managing environmental chemical contamination, particularly PFAS and other emerging contaminants. With a robust background that includes roles as a Principal Environmental Scientist at Ecoengineers Pty Ltd and a Senior Scientist at the Office of Environment and Heritage (NSW), Karl has provided specialist advice on risk assessment and policy development for chemical contaminants. Karl has also contributed to academia as a part-time external lecturer at the University of Technology, Sydney, and serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor at The University of Queensland QAEHS. Their research has driven the development of various analytical techniques and has supported regulatory improvements to protect aquatic ecosystems.
