Walter Starke

Walter Starke is a Senior Environmental Engineer at Jacobs, bringing over 25 years of experience in the contaminated land and landfill sectors, primarily in New Zealand, as well as in England, Germany, South Africa, and Indonesia. Starke specializes in contaminated land investigations, remediation, and landfill design, and has provided expert testimony in various legal contexts. They have worked at Jacobs’ Auckland office for 21 years, following the acquisition of their previous employers, and have prior experience as a mining engineer and in environmental and geotechnical roles. Starke holds a Master of Science in Soil Mechanics from the University of London and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining from the University of Auckland.
