Sher Levesque

Sher Levesque is an experienced professional in the fields of movement, sound, and therapeutic arts, currently serving as a Volunteer Usher at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival since June 2022. With a long-standing role as a Teacher & Movement/Sound Specialist at Theatre Adventure Inc. since January 2018, Sher focuses on therapeutic explorations of performance arts for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As the Owner of Somatic Sounds since May 2010, Sher explores the intersections of movement and sound through various modalities, including workshops and performances. Previous experience includes providing personal care as a Therapeutic Support Assistant at UCP of Western Massachusetts and coordinating training programs for Eliot Community Human Services. An extensive educational background includes degrees in psychology and various certifications in yoga, dance, and therapeutic techniques, reflecting a commitment to personal and professional growth in the arts and mental health fields.
