John Burns

SVP of Publishing at Jagex

John Burns has been in the gaming industry for over 20 years. John started as a consultant and eventually rose to the position of Senior Vice President and GM Europe for Trion Worlds, Inc. John was responsible for the company's European expansion and helping to grow the company's revenues by 40%. John was also instrumental in securing an additional $85 million investment round for the company.

In 2013, John left Trion Worlds to join Jagex as Senior Vice President of Publishing. Jagex is best known for their MMORPG RuneScape. John has helped to grow Jagex's publishing business and expand their reach into new markets. John was also responsible for the launch of Defiance, the first trans-media game.

John Burns studied English, science, and economics at Trinity College.
