Marc Cartwright has a diverse work experience in the game development industry. Marc is currently the Design Director at Jagex, where they direct the game and level design for an unannounced MMORPG. Prior to this, they worked as the Design Director at Tarsier Studios, where they led the game and level design for an unannounced game. Marc also served as the Lead Designer and Senior Designer on "The Stretchers," a Nintendo Switch game developed in cooperation with Nintendo. Before Tarsier Studios, Marc was the Lead Game Designer at NapNok Games, where they led a team of designers on an unannounced game. Marc gained significant AAA experience as a Game Designer at Massive - A Ubisoft Studio, working on "Tom Clancy's The Division" and learning how to nurture and enable teams. Marc also held positions as the Lead Game Designer and Junior Game Designer at Bigpoint GmbH, where they worked on an unpublished MMO and supported various games. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Development Tester at Ubisoft, a Quality Assurance Tester at IO Interactive, and a Game Design Intern at Press Play. Marc's first professional game development experience was as a Game Designer and Project Manager at Lundbeck A/S, where they worked on The Cipralex Sudoku Game.
Marc Cartwright completed their education with a Master of Science in IT - Media Technology and Games - Design and Analysis from IT-Universitetet i København (2006-2008). Prior to that, they pursued their Bachelor of Science in IT and English - Data Linguistics at Copenhagen Business School (2002-2005). For a brief period, Marc also received training in anti-tank personnel at Danske Livregiment (1999-2000). Their secondary education was at Gladsaxe Gymnasium (High School) where they studied languages (1997-1999).
