Derek O'Connor

Derek O'Connor is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software architecture and engineering, particularly in the automotive and cloud domains. Currently serving as a Principal Solution Architect at Jaguar Land Rover since January 2018, Derek specializes in vehicle to cloud interface solutions. Previous roles at Jaguar Land Rover include Technical Lead for the Vehicle Connected Data Platform and Senior Software Engineer focusing on Vehicle as a Service. Prior to that, Derek worked at Intel Corporation, where contributions included roles as a Network Software Engineer and Software Platform Applications Engineer within various divisions. Derek holds a Bachelor of Engineering with Honors and a Bachelor of Engineering, both in Computer and Electronic Engineering, from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, along with several IT certifications from Moate Business College.
