Michael Rock

Product Manager at Jaia Robotics

Michael Rock has held various roles in the engineering and robotics fields since 2017. Michael began their career as a Laboratory Technician at Rock Engineering and Testing Laboratory, Inc. in 2017. In 2018, they took on the role of Resident Academic Mentor (RAM) at the University of Rhode Island Housing and Residential Life, as well as a Student Researcher at the Robotics Laboratory for Complex Underwater Environments. In 2020, they became an Undergraduate Researcher at the Undersea Robotics and Imaging Laboratory. In 2021, they began working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Rhode Island Department of Ocean Engineering. Most recently, in 2022, they began working as a Robotics Engineer at Jaia Robotics.

Michael Rock attended Incarcerate Word Academy High School from 2013 to 2017, where they earned their High School Diploma. Michael then attended the University of Rhode Island from 2017 to 2021, where they earned their Bachelor of Engineering in Ocean Engineering. Michael is currently pursuing their Master of Science in Ocean Engineering at the University of Rhode Island, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
