David Chan

David Chan is an experienced executive with a diverse background in the financial services industry. David currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Jaja Finance, a position they have held since October 2020. Prior to that, they were the CEO of Monedo Holding GmbH, a digital consumer lending group, from April 2018 to October 2020. David also has experience as the CEO of DCDC Consulting, where they provided advisory services to clients in the financial services industry from February 2016 to April 2018.

Before their time at DCDC Consulting, David held several leadership roles at Barclays. David served as the CEO of Barclaycard Consumer Europe, overseeing consumer/retail businesses in multiple countries, from October 2010 to January 2016. Additionally, they were the Chief Credit Officer for Barclaycard, responsible for credit risk and fraud strategy across regions, from October 2007 to October 2010. Prior to that, they held the role of Chief Credit Officer, UK Cards, where they implemented strategies to reduce credit losses and improve revenue growth from August 2006 to October 2007.

Earlier in their career, David worked at Citigroup as a Global Risk Officer, managing credit risks in retail banking, consumer finance, and cards products, from 2005 to 2006. Prior to that, they held various roles in US Cards Risk Management from 1997 to 2005. Before their time at Citigroup, David worked at American Express as a Manager, where they analyzed and reported on transaction authorizations and identified potential savings for the credit portfolio.

David's work experience also includes roles at Pitney Bowes as a Senior Marketing Analyst, where they developed and implemented systems to assess customer value, and at IBM as a Cost/Industrial Engineer, where they provided cost estimates and support for test equipment.

David Chan received their Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Research & Industrial Engineering from Cornell University, where they attended from 1987 to 1991.
