Timo Rossi

Timo Rossi has over 15 years of work experience in various industries, beginning in 2006 as a Product Design Engineer & Consultant at Etteplan. In 2009, they worked as an SCM Specialist, Strategic Sourcing at ABB Oy, Transformers. From 2010 to 2012, they were a Part-time Lecturer at Vaasan ammattikorkeakoulu VAMK University of Applied Sciences, teaching courses on Product Development and Quality Management. During the same period, they were also a Visiting Researcher at Umeå Institute of Design.

In 2012, they became a Co-founder and Board Member at Jakamo, where they held various roles such as Chief Business Design Officer (CBDO), Chief Design Officer (CDO), Senior Sales Executive, and Product Owner. During their time at Jakamo, the company's revenue increased by 50% over three years.

In 2018, they became an Author at Supplier Experience Online Magazine. In 2019, they began working as a Visiting Lecturer at JAMK University of Applied Sciences, teaching courses on Supplier Experience, Supply Chain Sustainability, and Digitalization. In 2020, they became an Advisory Board Member at Specifii, advising the CEO on Business Design and B2B Sales. In 2021, they began working as an Industrial Advisor and Selection Board Member at the European Training Network for InduStry Digital Transformation across Innovation Ecosystems.

Timo Rossi has a varied educational background. Timo began their studies in 2003, earning a B.Sc. (Mech.Eng.) from Vaasan ammattikorkeakoulu VAMK University of Applied Sciences in 2006, with a focus on 3D Technology, Industrial Robotics, and Production Economics. In 2007, they earned an M.Sc. (Economics & business administration) from the University of Vaasa, with a focus on Industrial Management and Product Development. In 2011, they attended INSEAD for an ABB's global SCM executive program. That same year, they began Ph.D. studies at the University of Vaasa, completing 50% of the program by 2013. In 2012, they attended Umeå Institute of Design for a course in Design Thinking and Design Research. In 2018, they obtained a certification in Elements of AI from the University of Helsinki and Reaktor. Finally, in 2020, they obtained a certification in Rethinking Health: The Fundamentals of Value-Based Healthcare from the University of Helsinki.
