Mike Akers

Mike Akers has extensive experience in the restaurant management industry, currently serving as District Manager at Jakes Uptown since April 2014. Previously, Mike held the position of General Manager at Twin Peaks Restaurants from October 2012 to March 2014, where responsibilities included serving as Corporate Training Kitchen Manager. As Director of Operations at Mi Chula's Good Mexican Restaurant from January 2007 to October 2012, Mike assisted with business model development for new store openings and contributed innovative recipe ideas. Mike's career also includes a tenure as General Manager at Uncle Julio’s Corporation from April 1997 to January 2007, where sales were notably increased. Mike attended the University of North Texas from 1991 to 1993.
