Elzanne Venter

Elzanne Venter has worked as a Software Engineer at JALI Research Inc. since July 2021. Prior to that, they were a Database Manager at the University of Calgary from November 2019 to April 2020. In this role, they successfully developed and managed an AWS relational MySQL database as part of a multidisciplinary team to create the pharmacogenetics web app, Sequence2Script. Elzanne conducted requirements elicitation and translated genetic data and corresponding recommended medications into a relational database. The database was used by the app to formulate prescription recommendations for doctors based on patient genetic data and current medication usage.

Elzanne Venter completed their high school education from Wetaskiwin Composite High School, earning a High School Diploma, during the period of 2013 to 2016. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Calgary from 2016 to 2021. Elzanne also obtained certification in "The Web Developer Bootcamp" from Udemy in September 2020.
