Erin Geary

Senior Research Associate at James Bell Associates

Erin Geary has 15 years of experience in program evaluation, project management, and technical assistance. His skills include designing and implementing community-based program evaluation efforts, providing technical assistance on the research design process, and developing training curricula.​

Geary has provided content expertise on Indian child welfare issues to federal leadership and worked closely with tribal nations and national organizations to conduct qualitative and quantitative research, evaluate programs, and build workforce capacity. Currently, he directs the Multisite Study of State-Tribal Collaboration in Home Visiting; leads tribal collaboration work for the Prenatal Alcohol and Other Drug Exposures in Child Welfare project; oversees toolkit development for the American Indian/Alaska Native Community Health Aide Program Readiness Assessment Project, and serves as a local evaluator on three grants with the Fond du Lac Band of Ojibwe.

Prior to joining JBA in 2013, Geary was awarded a senior fellowship through Casey Family Programs. In that role, he worked directly with the commissioner of the Administration for Children, Youth, and Families. He received a Ph.D. in social work from the University of Utah and an M.S.W. from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
