Alexis Barton currently serves as a Family Services Specialist at James City County since April 2024. Prior to this role, Alexis worked at Appalachia Service Project in various capacities, including Fellow/Volunteer Coordinator and Center Director from May 2023 to March 2024, as well as Operations Coordinator in two separate stints in 2021 and 2022. Additionally, Alexis gained experience as a Campus Ministry Fellow at Roanoke College from August 2019 to May 2023. During the same period, Alexis held editorial positions at The Brackety-Ack, serving as Editor In Chief, Sports Editor, and Reporter for Sports and News. Alexis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies and Sociology from Roanoke College, and graduated from Leonardtown High School with a focus on Global and International Studies in 2019.
